“Mike Campbell joined BizSpace in February 2017 as the Group embarked upon a transformational journey following its acquisition by Värde Partners in mid-2015. Mike’s role as Programme Director was to bring structure and discipline to the definition, documentation and delivery of a number of projects which were at the heart of the 5 year Strategic Plan. Mike quickly assimilated the key components of the strategy and gained involvement with a new CRM project and a pricing optimisation project. Mike worked with the Head of IT, the CEO, CFO, Commercial Director and others to document the deliverables required for several projects, to set /monitor the RAG status, to agree timelines with various stakeholders and to facilitate the delivery of regular reports for the Management Board detailing progress.

Mike worked across many tiers of management in different functions to ensure the various projects were progressed in line with expected timescales. Mike demonstrated a natural style of engagement across the business, regardless of the seniority, interwoven with an evident and rigorous desire for structure and process. This facilitated clarity in the work undertaken.

During his tenure, Mike had involvement with many projects, including Pricing, Digital, CRM, Strategic Pillars, Annual Report development, acquisition integration and acquisition process improvement, amongst others. Mike led on the design and implementation of an effective acquisition integration process within the business. During his time at BizSpace Mike programme managed a total of eight acquisition integrations which involved the integration of HR, operations, sales, marketing, IT, property and finance functions. As part of Mike’s legacy BizSpace now has a fully proven and highly efficient acquisition integration process and capability which is now an key element in our growth strategy. In one acquisition integration project Mike was tasked with the successful delivery of a programme of critical property repair works to secure £700K p.a. of rental income from a large anchor tenant. The project was delivered on time and to budget, the customer signed off the works and moved in on the agreed date. The customer complimented Mike on his highly professional programme management and communication skills throughout the project – Paul Hooper, Finance Director, Reassured, Belvedere House, Basingstoke.

Mike was asked to become Chairman of the BizSpace Operating Board, the level of Management which reported into the members of the BizSpace Management Board. The BOB was established to run the day to day operational delivery of the business. Mike brought structure and process to this new Operating Board and the minutes and actions were used to brief the BizSpace Management Board.
